Jazz Pianist, Michael Wolff has a musical pedigree that reads like Who's Who of jazz legends. Michael has performed with Cannonball Adderley, Thad Jones, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, Christian McBride, and Nancy Wilson. In spite of this impressive resume, Michael maybe best known for his role as the bandleader and musical director of The Arsenio Hall Show. He is also known as the co-star of Nickelodeon's "The Naked Brothers Band" with sons Nat and Alex Wolff; it was a mock documentary created by his wife actress Polly Draper.
Bassist Chip Jackson has appeared on more than 60 CD’s with
such jazz greats as Thad Jones, Red Rodney, Stan Getz, Wynton Marsalis, Horace
Silver, Tony Bennett, Freddy Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Woody Herman, and Chuck
Mangione. Chip Jackson can be heard weekly on National Public Radio’s Billy
Taylor’s Jazz at the Kennedy Center. When in New York, Jackson regularly
perform with the Mingus Big Band.
Jake Hertzog is the musical
director and lead guitarist for Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band stars,
Nat and Alex Wolff. They just concluded their second national tour,
"Summer Road Trip Tour '09" and have performed on national television
shows including Good Morning America, The View, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards,
The Today Show and many others. Past achievements include winning the Grand
Prize in 2006 for the Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition in Switzerland. In the
festivals 44-year history, he holds title at 20 years old as the youngest ever
prize winner. He was invited back in 2007 to showcase his original music in the
Montreux Jazz Festival. Jake is an Alum of the prestigious Berklee College of
Music and recipient of several performance scholarships.
Drummer Mike Clark gained worldwide
recognition as one of America’s foremost jazz and funk drummers while playing
with Herbie Hancock’s group in the early 1970’s. Clark has performed with many
other jazz legends including Chet Baker, Tony Bennett, Wayne Shoreter, Bobby
Hutcherson, Joe Henderson, Woody Shaw, Bobby McFerrin, and Al Jarreau. Featured
in Downbeat, Musician, International Musician & Recording World, Modern
Drummer, Jazz Times, Guitar Player, Jazz Is and numberous jazz history and
method books, Clark is a former faculty member of Drummers Collective, and is a
popular and busy clinician around the country.
Saxophonist Bob Rosen has been playing and teaching in New
York City since 1978. He has taught in the New York City public schools and was
Associate Conductor of the All City Jazz Ensemble from 1986-1996. He has
been on the faculty of Friends Seminary, a K-12 school in New York City where
he teaches instrumental music and jazz studies since 1983. He is founder and
artistic director of The Meetinghouse Jazz Orchestra, a 17 piece professional
jazz ensemble in existence since 1994. He has known and played with
Michael Wolff since 1972.
