Gilbert Sedeno at Four Seasons (Downtown), 6-11pm
One of Houston's giants, jazz pianist Gilbert Senedo solo in the lobby bar of the Four Seasons downtown.
Robert Sanders Jazz Group at Sullivan's, 6-11pm
Pianist Robert Saunders play in the bar area of Sullivans, which has become one of great jazz endurance tests around town. Five hours of jazz to an audience usually too busy mixing their cosmos and small talk to notice those hard-working players in the corner. Alas, for those with ears it's worth the chaos of the surroundings to hear a good trio with a nice glass of vino.
King Biscuit Jazz Jam at King Biscuit Patio Cafe, 8-11pm
Jazz Jam in the Heights, featuring local greats. Enjoy great food & a full bar while listening to (or playing with) a variety of jazz musicians. House band plus a special featured guest artist every week!
I Am Mesmer at Brasil, 8-11pm
Geoffrey Muller at the helm manning the banjo, cigar box guitar, musical saw and vocals too, leads a group of merry men and women who create a sound like no other. Think Appalachia meets Brooklyn, Andrew Bird meets Monk.
