St. St. Luke's newest offering is Improvisation Jazz Worship.
Held in the Chapel on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. The service features jazz
music and old-timey hymns, an intimate feel, time for meditation,
come-as-you-are dress, and Holy Communion.
Rev. Taylor Meador Fuerst preaches each week and encourages members to
invite someone to come to this new service. Says Taylor, “It’s a new way to hear
God’s word through preaching, reflection, and lively music. It’s bound to be
life-changing for someone you know.”
Keith Karnaky and rotating mystery guests
at
Brasil,
8-11pm
Led by drummer Keith Karnaky, Sundays at Brasil features quality artists that 'want to enjoy themselves...play their hearts out...are happy... to play throwing their hearts to the wind'.
"We have in the past had a philosophy to hire the best Houston players....and invite them to play with less restrictions than usual....often free or spontaneous in composition. This philosophy continues at Brasil.
Please join us and tell others so that this night remains healthy as a place to enjoy."
