If you've not made it out Sunday night to hear the best new band in town, Houston Funk Factory, I urge you to do so this Sunday. I'm appreciative of the friends who have come every Sunday to support these guys but this week is crucial to be able to continue to have them play. For literally years I've heard nothing but complaints from people on this board about the lack of good live music venues in town, the sorry quality of bands, and the tired material that is repeated on every cover band stand in the city over and over and over.

Well, you won't find that at The Horn or with Houston Funk Factory...and you certainly won't find it anywhere else on a Sunday evening for 5.00

Step up people...this is a band that is worthy of your faithful support. You won't regret coming out--I promise!

    Houston Funk Factory - 7:30-11:30pm
    The Horn
    6025 Richmond
    Houston, Tx 77057

Isn't this also something that without support, we will lose? For a $5 cover, there needs to be people there to sustain their gig. And besides the music being stellar, so is the food!

Is it 21+ or are kids welcome?

Yes, Henry, I'm sorry to say...hate sounding desperate but without support it won't last.

    It's definitely 21 and up...there's a longer explanation but it won't change anything, so yes, it's 21.

And thank you, Henry, for you and Melissa coming out after your own gig to hang out! Very much appreciated:)

I added the calendar a few days ago, Henry, to the JH site. It doesn't reflect subs, just the regulars in the band:)

I meant to be there for the maiden voyage and since, but have had "stuff" (Grrrrrr.)

Otherwise, NOTHING would stop me from seeing my favorite band in the land!

Mike, I hope it's not the last time they play there I'm still sick and going out tonight is a dumb idea. I still hope to send people that way.

We have one more week to prove that Jazzhouston music lovers will support great music and musicians. If you don't come out and support this band they will not continue. It's that simple.

We've done out part...will you do yours?

    Mike-
Would be there but have had gigs every Sunday evening in December. What is the status? Is this going to continue in January? What time does the band start on Sundays? Thanks for trying to keep this going.
