    i know, right? quite a bad ass... mad dangerous chops for days!

    she does this arrangement of "i can't help it" with lionel louke that makes me want to freak out.

    The upright bassist that was in town playing w/ Robert Glasper (last year ish) plays with her. http://alanhampton.com/schedule.html - Alan Hampton

    he is one helluva bassist! while Chris Dave and Glasper explored other planets, Hampton served as a sort of home base. There was no shaking him, and believe me they both tried.

    Yes, definitely. Alan is really something. I think he was in town this week playing gigs with Charlie, Matt and others.

    Yes, he (Alan) did a singer/songwriter thing (playing guitar, *not* bass! - amazing...) at Mink (near Cont. Club) Wed. night, along w. Josh Mease, also 'PVA alum, also into a singer/songwriter bag (he was a burning gtr. player in high school).
