I`ve been studying and playing jazz almost exclusively since 1951. Studied at North Texas State and Berkley School of Music. Almost all of my playing has been in Houston but I also played a bit in L.A , San Francisco. Owned a music store for 24 years.... Have 3 beautiful daughters. I love the CREATIVNESS OF JAZZ.......Believe that each player has within himself the ability to create at the moment ....that relying on tradition is not a goal in itself. That the less ego there is in the music the more God there is to do the real playing.
Play like it was the last gig of your life.
