Danny Kamins has been playing saxophone for 10 years, and graduated from HSPVA's jazz department in 2005. He is currently finishing his studies at Oberlin Conservatory, where he studies with world renowned jazz and classical saxophonists Gary Bartz and Paul Cohen, respectively. To strengthen his musical skills, he is currently involved in 6 musical projects, with styles ranging from big band to fusion, funk to the experimental and avant-garde, and from rock and pop to jazz. He has been teaching in the Oberlin- Cleveland Ohio area for 2 years, and has taught both local players and non-major college students, all with different levels of experience. With a strong background in both jazz and classical saxophone, he is able to teach jazz improvisation and the jazz tradition, the classical tradition of saxophone, or fundamental techniques of the saxophone. Lessons are $20 for a half hour, $30 for a full hour.
