Central Presbyterian Church is hosting a four-course Italian Summer Meal on Sunday, June 25, to raise money for its garden projects. Conveniently located on Richmond inside the loop at 3788 Richmond (near Weslayan), Central often plays host to area office workers lunching on its grounds by a beautiful rose garden. The church seeks to add a prayer garden under a large, old oak tree to provide another areas for its parishioners and the broader community to enjoy.

"Central in Italy: An Italian Summer Meal" includes: Antipasto Plate with Grilled Vegetables, Marinated Shrimp (and more!); a Roasted-Garlic Caesar Salad w/ Mixed Greens & Rosemary Croutons, Herb-Crusted, Citrus-Glazed Pork Loin served with Pasta and Tiramisu or Country Apple Cake. Live entertainment will be provided by popular Houston jazz musicians David Caceres & Ted Wenglinski on sax and piano as well as Central's own Michael Poindexter on classical guitar. There is a requested a donation range (rather than a firm amount) of $25 - $50 per person and reservations can be made by calling 713-621-2424. There are two seatings; 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Child care will be available at the church for children under 10 at a nominal fee (reservations required).
